Lose power at anything above 1/4 throttle

Like the title says. I would lose power at anything over 1/4 throttle IE; buck/stumble ,then it would act like I shut the key off complete with the SES coming on until I let off the throttle and then it recovers and runs fine.

After trying many different things I found that by unplugging the ECM and resetting it the car would run fine like nothing is/was wrong.

This happens every once in awhile when I try to fine tune the car.

Has this happened to anyone else, and if so what is the cause of it.
