Cruising on the interstate and it seems like the tranny went into "N". I don't even have "R". The shifter cable is operating like it should and the tranny fluid is fine. What else can I check for? Thanks

Could be anything from breaking a shaft (input shaft, forward drum), loosing pump pressure, converter or lost all you converter bolts.

Sounds like the pump.
Disconnect the top cooler line on the passenger side.
Have a someone start the car and see if you have fluid coming from the line.

Sounds like my tranny problem I just had. the dang thing only had 300 miles on it and all of the sudden, NOTHING! This is one of Brian Hofers trannys so I figured it would be pretty good and didnt expect this. Ended up snapping the input shaft. So I just had it completely rebuilt again and I am just going to sell it. Ended up building a complete Billet and full rollerized $4200 beast! I shouldnt have any more problems! -----Jeremy

What's all involved with replacing a pump?

Does the tranny have to come out?

Those hard part failures happen from time to time.

Yes they do!! I just need to learn to stay away from souped up BMW's on Chicago freeways when I'm 2 hours from home!!!

That is always when stuff brakes, the worst time!
Never in the driveway like it should!;)
