There was indeed a lot of blown up shtuff! Pretty much the only 9 second or faster S2 cars left running were Paul's blue T (9.45 @145 or so I think?) and Cal, who ran a bunch of 8.80s. Cal's car sure got a workout, with Tony Gomes, Dave Fiscus, and Jack Cotton all taking a run or two in it.

This afternoon, Cal did a HUGE wheelie, bounced it and nearly put it on the bumper again before coming down. Cool to see, especially when no damage was done and it went on to run some more 8s.
On a lower buck note, my friend Glenn West from here in Jax blew a headgasket Friday. We changed it in the "pits" (aka grass) and after about 5 minutes of run time today, he went out and ran an 11.40.

Mike Savino of tbs.com got his low buck 4.1 running Thursday and drove it to Reynolds Friday.

It ran some 12.70s on pump gas with a stock turbo and stock (turbo 3.8) cam!
The TSM guys blew my mind. Dave's car ran a string of 9.60s and a 9.57, won TSM, and went on the trailer still running. Dave and Dan Strezo are doing something right..

Roy Garcia's car running 9.60s on iron heads is unbelievable. Guy Robinson broke into the 9s after the TSM race was done and ran a string of 10.0s.
Odell Cantrell brought me some of the coolest Buick Indy parts ever; I'll take pictures soon and I owe him major coffee.
It was great seeing everybody again. I told a bunch of people that I'd make it to Bradenton in Feb. with my car so now I have to get moving and make it happen.
