I love the Limiteds. Nothing like the power of the LC2 in a Regal with all chrome, landau roof, hood ornament, cornering lights and leather seats. The dual exhaust and turbo hood almost don't look right on those grandpa cars.

I'd like to have on some day but am afraid there aren't any unmolested ones in a color and with options I like.

This is coming from the guy who likes Green cars! :D

Indeed, the brown is a sleeper color for this car.

hey, don't knock the brown if I get a T I want that color. First one I saw was that color, and rusting badly. Except for the rust I fell in love immediately.

I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure opera lights weren't an option on Limiteds, though that would be REALLY COOL!

Is that Dark Chestnut Metallic? Mine is Light Chestnut Metallic(gold). Just curious. Color wasn't a factor when I was looking for one of these cars, but the color has grown on me. So much so that, after years of debate, I'll be re-painting it the original color.

From time to time I hear the word "Chestnut" thrown in for both shades of brown. I'm not sure where that comes from but it does seem appropriate.

From the dealer albums I have, this is how the color is listed:
Brown Metallic (code 62)
Light Brown Metallic (code 58)

Not very descriptive IMO.

It has to be a rare color anyway you slice it, Limited or not.

ive seen a few limiteds with the opera lights, not all have landau tops!

pics were taken 3 weeks ago, camera dates are off-

mine is the one on the left with the huge paul ferry swaybar. greg is the one on the right-

2 sweet limiteds that happen to be twinkies!

Yeah, you got to love that undercover feeling. My Gold/Light Chestnut/Light Brown T-Type is a fun car and you do get lots of attention parked amongst the sea of black GN's at the meets.

Can anyone confirm whether or not operal lights were optional equipment on Limited from Buick? Option code?

I believe I've seen opera lights on Limiteds too but don't think Buick offered it as an option. I know the white cornering lights were optional from Buick.

There was a brown one just like that around here that was absolutely beautiful and he could NOT sell that thing b/c nobody wanted brown. I believe he ended upselling it for $4500 and this was a cherry car.

ks:cool:

wow, i can post pics again-

that car is a buddies of mine, its a leather sunroof limited, no landau top or any opera lights.

looks similar to my silver car no?

I was looking at the pics of your silver car. It is a limited but has the blackout trim and no wide chrome on the bottom of the doors/rockers.

I had a guy tell me at the 99 nats that my car was not factory with rosewood and grey leather. They decoded my option tag in my trunk and only then were they satisfied.

Yes that is correct, both cars at the track that day are silver limiteds that dont have chrome trim.
they were factory built with the option code WO2, just like all 86s were built. Of course you know this already, i just went and reread your post! :)
The blackout option limiteds are supposed to be the rarest ones of all.
his car has 78,000 miles and is the one with it launching, has factory leather 45/45 and a sunroof.
mine has cloth and a hardtop, and 84,000 miles.

wish my white limited had the blackout trim, but it looks great with the extra chrome.
