My goals are 9 second timeslips but I'm also wanting something that may not be available without some sacrifice of drivability. Question is, is there any VB kit available that will make a 200-4R have firm upshifts under WOT & have relatively mild low throttle shifts when on the street? Mine shifts "crisp" under normal driving and partial throttle but when I'm at WOT it slides into 1-2 and 2-3 at only 15psi of boost. I can imagine what it will do at 25psi of boost. I do have a wider band and a larger apply servo in it for 2nd. I also have the .570 boost valve.

I read it and what ever cured this persons ailing transmission I need to do EXACTLY to mine. I have the same symptoms as quoted below except the 2-3 flair. I'm ready to buy.

I contacted Chris @ CK Performance, he sent me a stock plate, heavy 1-2 accumulator spring, heavy line bias spring and a blocked off center support bolt. To his recommendations I did every thing that he suggested including dual feeding the direct clutches. I put every thing back together and wholly sh!t what a difference this made. It would now shift hard into 3rd at WOT and don’t get that terrible conk when down shifting. After doing this I still was getting a bind up at light throttle on the 2-3 shift, so Chirs then had me remove the PTS billet servo and install the stock one. This made a big difference and the car even shifts into second better with the stock servo (firmer). I now was only getting a very slight hint of bind up so Chris then had me restrict the Direct Clutch feed hole and open up the 3rd acc hole some. Bingo this fixed it. This thing has never shifted this good!!! It shifts with a light bump when cruising; when I step into about 5-6 psi of boost it chirps the tires on the 1-2 shift and hits the 2-3 shift very firmly. The 2-3 WOT flair is gone and the bind up at light throttle is gone; even when I set the car up in race trim with slicks and high boost making approx 600 HP it still shifts firm. (Tire chirping shifts) Chris really knows his stuff!!!!!!! Thanks a lot!

I thought that once the 2-3 flair developed it was pretty much time for a rebuild  How was the flair reversed?

It is... he had to take the tranny apart to Dual feed the directs. It is fairly simple to do and i highly recommend it in any car going 12.00s and faster that has a good billet forward drum. My 2-3 is awesome now.

Seems like drilling some hole too large in the spacer plate will cause 2-3 flair???

Yes this is the band release hole. Usually it would be at about .108-.113 size, however with Chris's dual feed mod, you have to adjust this size to solve a 2-3 bind-up.

Believe me at stock size and dual fed, you will NOT have a 2-3 flare :)
