Low fan relay coming on a 198

Hi all. Just wondering if anyone has had their low fan relay not come on until 198 degrees. What would cause this. I thought it was the high relay coming on, but it went off when I pulled the low relay. I replaced both relay’s. They Both had power. Any help is appreciated.

In a factory wired car the chip determines the on/off low speed points.

What chip is in the car?

Factory chip. I thought it was supposed to come on at 165. Scanmaster showed 198.

Factory chips turn the fan on at 198*F. To be more exact, on at 197.6*F, off at 192.2*F

I can't believe your relays are operating like their supposed to.. not broke..

I think they were working. i replaced them anyway. When does the high relay come on if the low come‘s on at 198?

Is your car still running the factory fan , if so have you unplugged the factory fan delay relay ? Next time your fan engage unplug it then.
