On my 2004R, I seem to have lost reverse at anything over idle. From what I've been able to gather, it's probably due to the Low Reverse Clutch Seal either leaking or not being seated completely against the Low Reverse Clutch housing. I "could" be wrong, but I'm putting my money on the above being the problem.

Now, I'm having a problem finding one without having to buy a complete rebuild kit for the transmission, which would obviously provide me with ALOT more parts than I'm looking for.

Does anybody know where I can get just the seal I'm looking for?

Here's what it looks like on the end of a punch, about to be inserted and driven home into it's final resting place. (the little black cap part on the end of the punch in the picture below)

Any help would definitely be appreciated.

Chris,

Thanks for the effort, but here's a little tidbit of info for you. You can't send a low reverse clutch seal in a plain white envelope through the mail and expect the person you sent it to to actually get it.

I got a white envelope with a big hole ripped in it above the return address delivered in a plastic bag with the USPS's apology for screwing it up, but no seal, so somewhere between there and here there's some Pitney Bowes technician wondering just where the hell that part came from and jammed up their processing machine.

No problem though...turns out the local Chebby STEALERSHIP had one... get this... $17.00+ for the damn thing. Never going there again.

Thanks for the effort though Chris.

Next time go to any local trans shop,if they don't have one they can get it an a day or 2 for a lot less than $17.
