I may be starting a new project soon
an LS-1 powered '47 Ford coupe. I know the LS-1 trannys (4L60E) are a derivative of the old 700R4. I'm sure most of the good billet "hard parts" will interchange, but should I keep the electronics or opt for an older style hydraulic shift? I may eventually do a turbo (hey, I'm hooked!) and use a FAST or BS3 controller, should that affect my decision? Are the block bolt patterns even the same?
