Saturday Nov. 12th 8am - 4pm A & S Automotive in Keller, Tx
BYO food and drink. Bring your own chairs.

Unlimited Access to shop Lift, tools etc.
Unlimited pulls for 8 hours.

Same rules as last year
Must be a club member spouse included.
Vehicle must be yours not your friends Dad etc. You know what I mean.
You will be guaranteed at least 2 pulls for 1 vehicle. If you have more than
1 vehicle (1 person 2 vehicles), you will be put in line after everyone's
first pull or whenever time permits.. Extra pulls are available if time
permits.

Also keep in mind this is a 8 hour event and people will come and go all day
but if you come in late say 3pm and there is a long line of first timers on
the
Dyno, it might be hard to get your car in so come early.
Last year there were several members that got more that 3 pulls, so I don't
foresee a problem but I just wanted everyone to understand come early the
Dyno Session closes at 4pm sharp.

Questions??

The club is one of your best assets to getting the car running right. Hope you took it to someone well known for working on TRs, otherwise its a big gamble. Most of the reputable TR mechanics are in the club.

Rob is right,we have some real good TR mechanics in the club, some of the fastest buicks around too.

Not to mention a real fun group to be around.

BTW,Rob,Thanks for inviting us to your party. We had a good time, just wish I wasn't so tired from all that driving.

Hey guys, this is Geoff, David's son. We had to rush my dad to the hospital last night because his nose wouldn't stop bleeding, and they are keeping him their until at least Monday night so I don't know what we'll be doing the following weekend with his nose being this way. He's currently in Baylor of Garland and they will be performing another surgery on him tonight or tomorrow. Hes in ICU right now because they said he lost about half of his blood supply and his blood pressure and heart rate are very very low. I'll keep yall informed on his updates. :frown:

Hope Dave gets better soon! Geoff, does he have a history of nose bleeds or anyone in his family? I have a herditary HHT which is thinning of the blood vessel walls, which can cause frequent nose bleeds in some cases, if he has a history of that, surgery can make it worse, and very few doctors are familar with it, their first reaction is to carterize the vessel which shoudl not be done. Visit www.hht.org for more info. I have a nose bleed about 2-3 times a year, but my aunt and grandmother had them daily.

Does anyone know if they will have a fuel pressure test gauge available? I've never been to a dyno, so not sure what to expect.

I've been having fuel problems and need to test the fuel pressure under a controlled condition and not running down the track.

I have one I could bring that fits a GN, but I don't think it would work on the older Buicks. Call Scott up at A&S and ask him, he'd be glad to help you if he can. 817-431-3150

Hey David, first of all I'm really glad to hear you're doing much better. Hang in there. You're one of the really fun guys in the club. Second, I've never done a pull on a dyno and was wondering exactly what the procedure is. Is the pull done mainly in 3rd gear above 60-65 mph so it doesn't downshift into 2nd gear? My GN is slipping on the 1-2 shift and was wondering if it would be alright to dyno it. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks, R.B.

That's exactly how its done. I put the shifter in 3rd gear, slowly get on the throttle till its about 50-60mhp, and then stomp on it, it will down shift to 2nd for just a second or two, and right when it hits 3rd is when you or Scott in this case, hits the "start" buttom on the dyno.

And BTW, you drive your own car on the dyno at A&S, not someone who doesn't give a rats azz about your car like some other dyno shops.

Looks like I'll be able to make it. I'll have my $30 to make it offical and join the Buick club :)

Is the dyno only limited to Buicks? I've dyno'd my GN so many times that it's not worth doing it again... However, I would like to throw the Saleen on and see what she puts down all stock.

Any cars you have can be run, the driver just has to be a member. Same here, I've dyno tuned my GN several times at Scott's shop, so I'll be in one of the TA's I've never dyno'd, either the 79 or 99, or both if my wife brings one up.
