I have to remove my lt-76 on my S-2, and my friend wanted to test it on his 109

If it is free it does not hurt to try it.
I would not purchase this turbo new for this application.

I've maxed out the 76 on my application and it's a 231. In fact, it is the item holding me back.

This is with M&A heads too.

With the proper tune. Exceptional results are possible.

Was that on gas or alky?;

It was on that wonderful fuel methanol. But then airflow is still airflow.

You can make more power with methanol that with gas in the same application.
Let me tell you about the Toyota Motors that Duttweiler has built and made over 1800HP. You simply can not make the same power per ci with gas.
I have seen applications with 8.5 HP per CI on alky. (4 valve head)
A great motor on gas will do over 6 HP per CI. (2 valve head)
I have yet to see a Buick motor make more than high 5 HP per CI.

I need to go back to work!:(

It's true that you will not make as much HP on gas as with Alky. But the question is, will a small ci engine be able to use the airflow of a 76? I believe it can, even on gas. I know on Alky it will definitely push the limit of a 76.

I agree:wink:

Meth will make more power than 116 octane?

A combination made to run on straight alky will
have more power potential than the same combination made for C116.
For most applications that gas is easier to work with yet a less forgiving on the tune up. I am not talking about alky injection, I am talking about using it for the base fuel.

Okay.. now it makes sense...

how fast do you run with a lt-76 on your 109

There was a stage I 3.8 GNin my city that ran low 9s. What's the difference? Same 1 gallon displacement

That thing spooled up just fine, even had a 200r4.

Someone on this board bought an awsome Stage I car from Richmond. Greg Wood was the previous owner (goofy greg).

What ever happed to that car? Anyone?? Sold early this year. Had MoTec.

I've never had a 76 on a 109. I have to tell you that I think it would be a bad match even with big cubes. The temptation to lift the heads would be overwhelming.
