LT1 Alternator upgrade

Could I take a 140amp from a Caprice 5.7 and use it that for my LT1 upgrade or Camero only?

I found a few chevy caprices with 5.7 at the junkyard(taxi editions). I know there are 105 amps and 140amps.
The part numbers between LT1 (camero/autozone) and Caprice are different but looks the same. If not since they look the same, maybe I could get away with getting a core charge (40$) off a new LT1 alternator Shame on me I know

the LT1 alternators won't fit in a hot air unless you find an HD alternator bracket from a regular Regal.

Sorry, forgot to post. I have the NA alternator bracket.

Would the caprice alt fit then?
