lt1 sensor compatability with 87 gn engine

If i run the lt1 maf sensor with maf pro gen II with the 87 stock ecu do i need to also install a different chip so the sensor and ecu communicate properly or can the 87 chip run without issues untill i get a chip and injector setup?

Sorry to bring up this thread, but what about the regular maf translator version 6.25, will that work as well with the stock 87 chip?

The regular MAF translator is what im using now with mine it works with the stock chip as well as the tt one too. The car is doing pretty sweet right now, just learning every day i can with my buick
