Machine shop problems...does it cost this much and how do you fix these problems???

"well they did use the stock bolts and they did go to 75 ft. lbs"
The stock bolts are torque to yield, and they will yield before they get to 75 ft-lbs. The shop manual says to stop torquing when you get to 60. So, I'm not saying that the machine shop lied- but they may have made a mistake.:D
 
I like the sticky Indian stuff in the little brown bottle for head fastners but as stated there are a "few" different opinions. Kind of like motor oil. I also throw a few of the tablets in the radiator after the initial break in and cool down, but that's just my preference.
 
Almost forgot. If the threads are all clean on the bolts and the block, Gasgacinch works really well for this. Plus it stays pliable and can handle a retorque, as long as you dont totally loosen the bolt. Its also perfect for freeze plugs and intake gaskets, but you have to work fast.
