Hello all, I'm new to this sight so please forgive me if its a bit novice. I just retired from the Marines and bought a 87 GN built by Kenny Duttweiler. Its running allot of mods to include complete fuel system and Precision Turbo. Its running a Accel ecm and came with a very old computer which is now obsolete. I have dyno sheets with Kenny's notes. I'm in Prescott AZ and need to find a Mech/Tuner that can get it tuned or advise on the way forward. Thanks again.

dfi gen6 ..looks like a stock ecm and mounts in stock location at passenger kickpanel . its tunable (with an old laptop that has DOS ) but doesn't have wideband or closed loop correcting usually run with a heated narrowband o2 sensor so its limited for tuning sort of like tuning a turbo tweak chip but with better control . it works as long as the combo wasnt changed in any way or anything about the changed due to deterioration over the years .
to tune you really would be guessing on the tune using a narrowband O2. you would want to connect a wideband and then adjust the tune based on what you see from that .

if you have a car from kenny theres probably some serious $$ invested in it already i would suggest changing the accel out for FAST XFI from cal hartline ( www.hartlineperformance.com ) and having it tuned by him .
i would also suggest looking at what injectors you have and possible upgrade or atleast have them cleaned and flow tested .. with accel it was common to run 55 low Z as that was the largest injector back in the day and
depending on combo you might want to step up

Probably the closest Tuner/Mechanic would be an hour and a half from you in northern Phoenix. Nick Micale - he IS the Turbo Buick Southwest guru.

He is busy but always finds time to help.
Good luck with your new ride.
