maf question

ok heres the deal..i was lookin at gettin the ls1 mass air and use the translator on my tr..well..i was pricing the mass airs at the locla gm dealership when the guy brought to my attention that the mass air for the 6 liter trucks are the same as the vette mass air and were cheaper than the f-body units...i think he priced me $93.00 for the vette unite... whats the difference between the vette job and the f-body unit? and will this one work with the trans or the trans plus?

We have the standard MAF translator intended to work with the F-body LT1 style MAF. I've used the 3 1/2 Corvette MAF and the 4.3L Chevy truck MAF which is 3 1/2 too! Strange that the factory would put a 3" on the F-body and 3 1/2 on a 4.3L truck but that's the way it is.
I'm not sure on the compatability of the LS1 MAF call Ramchargers to find that out. (1-888-293-7267) ask for Mike.

the 4.3 maf is not 3 1/2" . the outside is about 3" . i bored one out to almost 3" on the inside.

Mine came off a 96 full size chevy truck the outside measures
3 1/2" Not sure what other years were but that one came with a big maf for some reason....~Scott

no kidding, i'll have to look into that. i should have said 4.3 s-10.
