Maf screen

just wondering what the screens in the maf are for and what will happen if you dont have any

also cant seem to get the car to idle right it has a miss new plugs new wires compression fine and pulse for injector fine

put two new coils (converted to 87 coil) i had in and it missed more could it be the module and will a 87 module work in this car or is something alse going on all help is desperatly needed i posted a while ago about my boost fluttering and changed the wires no change

just cleaned my k & N today car was stalling after i put it back in turned pressure up a bit and it stopped stalling

when it rains it pours with this car lol

The screens in the maf are to sort of equalize and direct the air going through. You need to have at least one screen in the maf or it will idle like crap. I always thought my dads car had a huge camshaft in it to make it idle weird, but we found out that there were no screens in the maf. As soon as we put one in, it idled smooth as glass.
