MAf T pro "thumbs up"

just installed a MAf T Pro today, "mafless" very easy install and ran excellent along with the Pro chip from Full Throttle.
This was an excellent upgrade from the stock maf, driveablity is perfect.
For anybody that is thinking about gettin one of these..You will love it. Lots of tunning ability. and Runs great !

I bought mine 3 or 4 months ago and it's still sitting in the box it came in. I looked at the wiring instructions and I was like . Wiring is not my thing, by far.

How long did it take you? Did you have any problems or was the instructions very easy for you to understand?

it was very easy, did it in under an hour. Now just finding a place to mount the thing..

Did you order a pro chip with yours??

Like i said there is huge gain in driveabilty.. very nice unit

Hey guys I drove this car around. Stop & go, for about 25 minutes. No problems at all. I did 3 runs with some mustangs from the local area and it did awesome, no problems or surging, unlike my car. I need to get one for my car. the wiring looks like a scary part but it actually is not. Color coded wires to color coded wires makes for an easy install. I will get one sooner than later.

Will it only work with the pro chip or will other extreme chips work also.

there is a setting for pro, extrme,extender and commnader chips.
It seemed like the maftpro recognized what chip was in the ecm

I got it with the pro chip. I really need to get it in there, the car can't run as it sits now(sold the old injectors and chips). I just wish the snow could have waited a lil' longer. Although... it keeps me from beating on the old girl.

Is an extender/pro or one of the chips that allows the higher maf readings required for this to work properly? I would assume that without it, you could not tune for higher loads because it would run into the same problem as w/ a maf maxing out. Are there any downsides to these chips? I have a tt chip and like it.

It will work fine with the TT chip, but you will have limited tuning ability using the Pro's capability. AFR Tracking with the wideband, and spark advance control will not work. (you are correct)

There are no downsides to the Pro chips. But you can always work with your TT chip for now, and move up to a pro chip later if you need the additional capabilities.
