well it finally happened, my MAF went south. So what all are my options and what is suggested that I do, I'm running stock turbo, i/c, etc... If it's not one thing it's another thing going wrong

Also, I called a local scrapyard, and they said they have some but they'r probably off of a Regal, will these work? I can't beat their price to fix my problem and it would seem to be the fastest solution to my problem.

translater an a chebbie maf....I have one used...mail me if your interested....used less than 2k...

The LT1 MAF and Translator is not cheap, but it is an excellent investment in your car. It flows more and IMO makes the car idle much better. Or you can go with a stock replacement which may or may not last, but will be about $150 less

Went my MAF went south, I was just sure that I would go the "LT1/Translator" route. But I bought an Autozone replacement MAF anyway, since I thought I'd just use that one until the Translator+ came in the mail. Well, to my surprise the Cardone replacment MAF worked well and is still on my car a year later. Never did order the Trans+.

The way I checked my replacement MAF: at idle I see a constant 6 gr/sec. I recorded a couple of WOT blasts and compared them to earlier recordings on the prior stock MAF. The new MAF pegged to 255 a couple of frames faster than the prior one did. Obviously you need Direct Scan, Turbo-Link, or a real time and recording scan tool to test like this.

I have a stock 87 MAF in know good working order it's a unit I bougght from the dealer in 96 $80.00 shipped.

thx guys for all the info and offers, but napa has one for the right price. I'm gonna try that one, it was alot cheeper than the LT-1 maf setup, but eventuaolly I'll end up going with a lt-1 and tran+ setup, just with being in school right now, it's hard to take the more expensive options right now.
