what if i mounted my MAF right in front of my turbo inlet bell and ran the solid MAF pipe off the end of it? what would this do? this is assuming i had long enough MAF wiring connector. just wondering?

It's been done, however I've not heard any feedback concerning advantages & disadvantages. I'd sure like to know how well or not it worked. I see a benefit of a smaller MAF doing the same as a larger one in the stock location.

Don't see why it wouldn't work, but things would sure get messy if a piece of the maf screen was to break off.

ya but would it matter if it broke off an inch in front of the turbo or a foot? eother way its gonna get sucked in.

It might get in the way of the up pipe

IHMO it would also be more susceptible to vibrations.
