I have a very stock car; valve springs/timing chain replaced otherwise stock mechanicals. Fuel pump, hotwire, 37lb/hr inj, FP reg, alky control, TT alky chip. I would like to initially install a MAFT Pro and use for closed loop boost control. It would also give future growth capability down the road, but for now I only want to be able to run rock solid boost and use it for that, and leave all else the same. The car runs really good otherwise. Can I install the MAFT Pro, boost solenoid adapter, and the boost solenoid, and control boost while leaving the rest of my setup the same, or do I need the tuner pro chip also. The only other option I am considering for boost control is the ISAC, I like the future growth capability of the MAFT, so if I can run it as above I will go with that option. TIA.

Any input, can I use the MAFT Pro in the short term as a boost controller, with out the specific chip, or do I need the tuner pro chip also to control boost. Thanks.

yes, you can run the unit that way. No special chip needed.

Gentleman, thank you for the response, upgrade to start. This will be great, because I can dial in boost, then upgrade down the road as time and funds permit. Plus it will allow me to familiarize with the equipment one variable at a time.
