Main Thrust Bearing Problem??

The front side of the thrust failure has nothing to do with the converter. It is caused by improper main cap installation proceedure or bad machine work or bad finish on the crank itself. Or lack of lubrication on start up.

KevinW25645 had the same convertor and destroyed the thrust bearing in his engine twice.
IT IS DEF THE CONVERTOR.
He rebuilt the bottom end and changed Convertors and it's been 3 years, 100 passes in the high 10's and absolutely no issues. He checks the bearings every off season.
It's the Convertors...don't use them.
