Changing out the valve springs and get to the last one on PS and exhaust valve drops in the head. Didn't have my air compressor on auto and the MF"er lost air and fell thru. Pulled the head cleaned everything up and debating on weather to just go heads and cam now or slap a new head and intake gasket on and enjoy.

64k and motor is stock. Do have the following on it the car RJC cross flow, RJC FM, BGC 3" DP, alky kit, fuel pump and some 80's. Really just needs some heads, cam, turbo and trans re done. The trans was my next investment with a PTC NLU converter and put a TE60 turbo on it and enjoy. Heads and cam were down the road when I blow a gasket or sometime worse.

I'm just thinking screw it and take the other side off and start gather parts.

Interesting. I would have thought even at BDC, the valve stem would be long enough to stay (somewhat) in the guide. At least enough to rotate the engine by hand and push the valve back up where you could grab it...

Nope.... tried for two hours and decided to pull the head. Just going to do it right. Will order a new roller cam next week, then intake and follow up with heads and roller rockers.
