Making SPace for Code ???

Lets say I need some space for a code patch, isn't it funny how you never seem to have enough space no matter what your dealing with .

How do you go about taking over sections of addresses so that you can use them and the ecm no longer does? I'd like to keep the egr stuff in place for now so what would be another area I could steal from and if I have too I'll steal the egr area to get this done.

So, how is this done, I've got a really neat patch I'm trying to code and have a feeling it will need more space than is currently free in my chip.
