I know it wasn't a question but,,,

And I don't care about the monkey entertainer's.

But damnit these retards are our children's role models! They are (over)paid enough to keep their ethical obligation's to the game(whichever professional sport) and it's followers!

Now they are not only cheaters they are also labeled as lying cheaters!
lol... lying cheater. I wonder if baseball will take his home run title away from him? That would certainly send a message.

Not sure I would agree with it but he did clearly admit that he cheated. But then again, how many others have cheated as well? Probably never know cause others do not hold that record.

I wonder if the baseball he hit out of the park to set the record with is worth any less money now? Is Cooperstown actually in possession of it now? Or does a private collector own it?

Everyone always liked to say that McGwire saved baseball with the homerun race but the fact is that he was part of the destruction.

Like him or not Canseco has cleaned up baseball, whether his intentions were selfish or not, if not for his confession and admitting that there was many others involved who knows how long all this would have gone on.

I used to be a huge baseball fan, it was my favorite sport. I collected all the cards, watched every game I could, knew every player. I enjoyed playing the game. Baseball turned its back on me, the fan. The strike, the steriods, the schedule (who really can start watching a game at 9 or 10 at night), and most of all the people that I grew up idolizing were cheaters and fakes. My favorite team was the Oakland A's, the bash brothers. I feel betrayed.

What does baseball now offer its fans? A promise that most people don't believe that the game is cleaned up. Screwing people that deserve to be in the hall of fame like Pete Rose. I could care less what his actions were as a manager. Nobody cares about his manager career, he derserves to be voted in for his career as a player. If your going to have these fakes in the hall of fame from 85-2005 then why can't you have one of the greatest hitters of all time in? Not only that Pete Rose was a player that didn't have the god given talent that someone like A-Rod or Ken Griffey Jr. had. He achieved his greatness through hard work, something which baseball doesn't seem to reward anymore.

Steriods didn't destroy baseball, Bud Selig did.

I don't understand what the big deal is. Everyone forgets this is a private business. They are going to do whatever it takes to sell their product. If we continue to buy into it, then it is what it is. Don't get me wrong I am a big sports fan, but If it was really an issue with the league, they would mandate testing after every game. If someone fails...the game goes down as a loss if they played in it.

What I do think is absolute bull S*** is that we allow our congress to waste money on years of investigation into this. Why is this any of the governments business. It is a private business, do we want them to have that control?

I see your point. But IMO, professional athletes being considered "role models" ranks up there with actors & musicians being role models... For that matter, celebrities in general. Where's the public outrage & government intervention when Britney Spears loses her mind and goes on a drug & alcohol fueled bender for months on end? Why haven't we demanded Lindsey Lohan's head on a platter for being the coke-whore she turned into? That list could go on and on and on.....

My take? Teach the kids of America that those with some sort of celebrity status and more money than they know what to do with, who more times than not turn into complete f--k ups, aren't really great role models to begin with. Those folks get paid to entertain people. That's it.

I personally wish all professional sports would become full contact, with no pads or protective gear of any sort and steroids become MANDATORY. I want to see just how big these idiots can get and how much bloodshed can occur when they beat the piss out of each other for nothing more than my simple amusement. :D

That is exactly my thought on them being role models. If your kids need to look up to some uneducated moron, who can not hold a conversation with a reporter while using proper English, then something is not right. (I'm only talking about sports.)

I'm not saying that they are all like the above mentioned description, but if they are not they are definitely the one percentile.

I worked with a guy who went to a PAC 10 school and he was telling me that every single football player there had a personal aide assigned to them. Another student that was being paid to ensure that they succeeded. Did there homework for them and went with them to classes, if the player even showed up. All so these fools can play football.

as far as the before and after pictures... means nothing really when mark first got into the pro's there was not near the supplements there is now... meaning legal supplements .. i weighed 160 my senior year in high school and reached 240 by the time i was 28 years old and i didnt take any steroids to reach this .. it didnt surprise me that he took steroids though hell if truth to be known more did than didnt in pro baseball .... when they didnt test for it what do you think would happen lol... in my opinion pitchers took it more than power hitters.. just for recovery. there is steroids in every sport there are just easy ways to mask it.. i.m.o.!!!

Oh, I didn't mean MY kids!;)
Was referring to the general retarded society we live in.
Not everyone has an attentive parent looking out for them and pushing them to be better than just average.

Roids or Not I would say Let him in. If it wasnt him it be another.

Look I use VIAGRA can I get in the hall of fame?
