That was my first time at the track, mix of 94 Sunocco and GT100 mostly GT100.

EGT probe (westach) is mounted 4" or so down from the O2 sensor.

The 1640 seemed a bit high to me on the end of that run too. That and the 3*KR on the big end, well 100mph or so made me turn down the timing to 24* and leave it there.

Wish I could help ya with the answers, first time racing and using the EGT for tuning. :(

From my understanding, around 1600+ is what you want to see no matter what fuel you are running. The alky just lets you lower the intake temp.

I had a leak in my alky hose (my fault) and couldn't figure out what was wrong. I turned the boost down to about 17-18 and the egts were just over 1800*, so I got out of it. I found the leak, fixed it, turned the boost up to 25 and the egts went down to 1400*. It was a pig, so I started leaning out the fuel/alky. So, I saw a 400* drop in egt with 17lbs of boost and very little alky to 25 lbs of boost and mucho alky.

A zero in offset will make the richest pos (F) deliver about the same fuel as 50msd's at full pulse width.

The leanest pos 8 will be about like blue tops.

A 48 in offset makes pos F about like 65 injectors and pos 8 like 50 msd's or so at full PW.

Guys that run alcohol need to take the offset down toward 0.

Read the number in pos A. Offset gives you the ability to move the entire block of wot fueling curves up or down.

Steve assumes you have a strong engine and run plenty of boost. If you don't run enuf boost or flow enuf air, the wot fueling will be too rich. By adjusting the offset in pos A, you caN make a set of 50# injectors flow like a set of 40# injectors so you can get good performance from a low boost on the street, etc.

By doing this, he can keep the family of fuel curves a few percent apart for fine adjustments. It also allows you to to set your normal running curve at a low number so the auto enrichment can work when detonation is encountered.

I must correct myself.......A 16 in offset of a 50MSD or up chip will make pos F deliver the fuel of 50MSD's at full PW...or close.

Salvage, you have 43's so the offset function is not used. You can get max fuel in pos F.

As an example, there are cars out there with 83's that range from close to stock to full mod.
The differance in fuel requirements between the 2 scenerios is drastic.
I would need 97 TW positions to cover either scenerio, so instead I use 8 and shift all the positions richer or leaner using the "offset."

8 numbers in "offset" is like moving the TW up or down 1 position.

Hope that helps, Salvage.

Weelllll, now I'm totally confused, as usual. Anything I can do other than learn to burn chips. :D

I just want to shift the curve to B or so from F WOT fuel only.

Spoolup is acceptable I think.

Why are the 43's any different with the offset?

It's used on the larger injectors from 50# up in order to be able to turn them down for low boost streetable driving while allowing one to use their full flow capability on the strip. It's kinda hard to do 8 fuel curves for a set of 75# injectors that are only a couple of percent apart and will cover the needs of 15# of boost on the street and 30# on the strip or 22# with alky, etc.

The offset allows the the user to have more injector than he may need and yet use them for lesser needs as required without sacrificing the fine tuning of the fuel delivery of the tw.

In essence, it just allows one to make the 8 fuel curves cover a much wider range without sacrificing precision.

No need for it on smaller injectors.

Salvage you may be able to squeeze a little more out of pos F.

Put a 16 in offset and all positions will act like they are 2 positions richer.....that is up to the point you achieve full PW.
See what happens.

Your best bet would be to go to 50 msd's.
