Keith has called and emailed me about my problem and is more than helpful and willing to get this problem straightned out. Since my car is getting the tranny done, ill have to wait till i get it home to give an update.

Let me give you another perspective on pricing and such for products in our little Buick comunity.

In addition to all of the remarks that Steve Wood made that were dead on here is another thing to consider.

Do you want to know why there is a difference in price of the two downpipes?

When first developing a product, you determine how much a product is going to cost you to produce. then you add what you have to make off of each part to make it even reasonable to produce. Now you would be fine just selling them direct to the customer at this price but all of a sudden vendors are calling you and wanting to carry your part. If you now have to discount the price you were going to sell the part direct the 35% that vendors would like to (but don't always do) make off of the price you are selling them for, now you have to sell them to the vendors for cheaper than you can even make them for. So what ends up happening is the price is increased slightly to compensate.

this is the structure that has to happen or no one will stay in business and we will all loose.

Keith called me back earlier today (in response to a snail mail I had sent last week), assured me they are continuing to work on fulfilling the DP group purchase as quickly as they are able (they are a small shop), and gave me a ROUGH estimate when my pipe would ship (probably within 7-10 days).

Because I had voluntarily given up my original place in line, listing my original # would not be too meaningful for those of you wanting a general snapshot of overall progress.

Anyway, I felt reassured having talked to him & knowing the shop hadn't burned down, etc.

Has anyone else heard about this GP? I paid in full almost 3 months ago and havent heard from anybody about it. I am starting to get a bit concerned about this. Any enlightment on this would be greatly appreciated.
