Anyone know how to reach keith mease.....been trying forever to get him at his shop. Was told he was moving his shop .

I hope you're not waiting on parts. Do a search in the lounge and you can find out about Mease. I'll just leave it at that.

well ive read that parts take forever to come in is that what u refering to ? well i was checkin out my car the other day and in order to install the mease 3 inch dp i need to remove the elbow but where would i hook up the wastegate to? if i remove the elbow? or who else sells a 3 inch dp?

The wastegate is built into the DP just like in the elbow. Your wastegate rod hooks up to it like normal. I think it's a great piece, something the hotair community has needed for a long time. I think he does great work but it could be a year before you recieve what you pay for. Forget what he tells you, expect to wait 6-9 months, don't expect e-mail or phone calls to be returned, and you will be one happy customer.

hey cool84 so then i do have to remove my elbow right yes/no? in ordeer to hook up the mease dp there will be no more elbow so the do has something that wastegate rod would hook up to like the elbow had before u tookm it off? im a little confused if the mease dp has one in it y would ineed that one that use to hook up to the elbow ?

I have an older style Bob Simms/Mease Down pipe that came off my 84 GN....It bolts to the elbow instead of the turbine housing. I got it Jet-Hot Coated, and its in pretty nice shape.....its FOR SALE as well.....$200 plus shipping takes it.

Just picture the elbow missing, the DP bolted in it's place. On top of the DP, the stock style swing arm is sticking out just like it did in the stock elbow.

IMO I think there's a big advantage in going with a DP that eliminates the elbow. I forget the exact name, but the spiraling effect of exhaust when it comes out of the turbine wheel needs a few inches or more of straight pipe straight out of the turbo or the spiraling effect is ruined.

buick83-T has an '83 T Type. I really hope it works out well, but I have my doubts. If the Mease '83 pipe has the integral wastegate, but I don't see how this will work on a '83 Turbo. IIRC, there are only four bolts holding on the elbow. One is hidden behind the valve cover and can't be reached with the turbo on the motor. Another is actually bolted inside the elbow. That means two of the four bolts can't be used.

I'll try to remember to confirm this tonight. If you haven't paid for it yet, it might be better that he hasn't made it yet.

I was told few weeks ago it was done.....but there was a problem with a bushing for the integral wastegate in all the downpipes he had made....havent been able to get anyone since to find out when it will be done.
