I just got back from helping Keith out.
When I got to his house tonight he was returning calls/emails.
Everyone that has a problem should be taken care of at this point.
Just an fyi to the guys who jumped on the bashing band wagon;
there are very few fabricators who make parts for our cars. If you continuously bash them or bad mouth them you will see how fast they stop making parts for us. Its funny.......I have heard stories about how long Kenny Duttweiller takes to build engines. I remember one guy saying his engine has been at Duttweiller's shop for over 2 years and he has spent probably more money there than many of us paid for our cars. Wonder why no one bashes him?? Regardless, Keith is not out there to steal anyone's money. He seriously tries to make sure everyone is satisfied. The problem is that no matter how good a person or a person's products are, there are those that are never happy. I know that gets to him.

We're still here!~

Everyone is being taken care of... AKA, no worries.

We do NOT make excuses as to why parts "you" ordered are not completed, when you call, email, contact US direct, and/or if the order is late. If you feel that you are being given the "run-around" with us, then simply go somewhere else for your parts, or buy them from our vendors. When we get busy as it is this time of year, a lot of our work, (powdercoating, Jet-Hot, polishing, machine work, etc) is sub-contracted out to a shop whom can complete the job that we give them, then component comes back and it is completed and or shipped as quickly as possible. WHEN the "other" shop is backed up, then we have a real problem, and it usually involves a waiting period....either they are out of supplies, too busy, lack of material, cannot get material in a reasonable amount of time......these are NOT excuses, but what happens everyday in the fabrication world! All day I would love to prove people wrong....but you must let them do their work, if you prove them wrong and throw it in their face.....well guess what, that shop puts YOU last! and you wait the most! Happens every time! We are not like that, we have a detailed list of work each day which is revised as work is completed/progress/problems....if you're first, you are not put ahead of anyone else, whether or not you get on this BB and bash away.

We try our best to complete components as quickly as humanly possible with MINIMAL stress, lately stress has been overwhelming us.....and we can do no other but to turn new work down and take a breather once and awhile. Being stressed all day does not get work done!

This time of year is absolutely insanely busy, I cannot spend countless hours on the phone with customers, but simply need to get jobs completed, we dont sit around all day smoking cigars and drinking margaritas (though sometimes I wished we were;) ) If I had a twin, surely I could spend 8 hours of the day answering Emails, and calling customers with tracking #'s delivery dates, if we encountered any problems/etc. We do the best we possibly can. The best way to get ahold of us is via Email....since I (personally) cannot answer 200 phone calls per day and build parts. Everyone wants to talk to ME, not Dan, adam, or whoever. If you are worried, feel you have been left out, or forgotten, PLEASE send us an Email, if you have done so and no reply, send another! we WILL get back to you!

In this business, we endure a day by day beating, and we know we will! nothing is easy, nothing ever fits perfect, and we try our absolute best to build parts that are superior to everyone elses offerings, and DO in fact fit flawless. You are paying for our talents, and fabrication/installation skills when you come to us, if you would like to buy our components, but are scared we will not return your calls, Emails, etc ORDER the part from one of our many vendors, they will have it in stock (most always) and be able to call you if its late!

Finally, Brent/Boost231: we attempted twice to return your Emails and each time Email was returned stating that it was undeliverable. Please send us another Email from a known return address, and we can get you the requested info you needed. I also recall speaking with you at the end of last week via phone.

take care, and thank you for the thoughtful insight. (no that was NOT sarcastic)

sorry guys, Keith was busy building stuff for me :) I told him none of you guys mattered and that my truck was more important, so he said ok and pushed all your stuff aside and turned the ringer off on the phone.

nahhhhhhhhhhhh, just kidding. I was just out there on friday for over 14 hours. I have been waiting well over a month for things to get done also and im only 45 mins from him AND I know where he lives :evil laugh:

not only was I at MPE for 14 hours doing my own thing and helping Keith when I could, but when I left at 11:30pm, Keith was STILL there working.

GOOD THINGS TAKE TIME! ROME WASNT BUILT IN A DAY!

I am waiting patiently for my GP DP. Keith has never failed to reply to my emails in less than 24 hours, even on weekends. That's hard to come by nowadays. I guess age has made me much more patient with humans than I once was . . .

I think Keith should change his current turn-around time estimates from 1-2 weeks to 1-2 months. That way no one has room to complain. :p :D

Keith said it best: Don't like it... go elsewhere.

Engine Parts

Don't feel bad. I bought an engine and trans ready to go with everything on it. Paid for in full on March 11th. I am still waiting for the shipment of parts to follow a week later......... that was 2 months ago. BTW the motor is back together and it sure would be nice to have the rest of the parts to finish it. I just keep emailing once a week and waiting for UPS to show up with the box of parts. Miracles never cease. When they already got your money you are unfortunately at their mercy. :(

Don:

I am still waiting to recieve parts from someone else, once they are here, they will be on the way to you.

thanks, <KM@>MPE

I agree on the fact that Keith needs to change the time estimates on parts. I ordered a DP, Cat. and Dump from him back in Febuary and payed him Paypal. He said that he'd have it shipped out within a week. .......5 weeks later I get a poorly packed box with everything, but there was a problem. The Wastegate flange for my Racegate did not line up. I emailed Keith and he asked me to ship it back to him for realignment. He said that he would get it out no later than the next day that he received it and ship it 2 day air. Well.....He received it on a Monday and shipped it Thursday, UPS GROUND!!!!! I told him I really wanted it by the weekend for the Central Cruise in Phoenix and he never came through. Once I found out he sent in Ground instead of 2 Day Air as promised in writing I emailed him about this and never heard back again. The following Thursday me downpipe shows up poorly packed again, with the f**king wastegate flange poking out of the side of the box. I was so pissed   I took the downpipe home and luckily everything fit up nice.

The point of all this ranting is. If Keith had told me 4-6 weeks for delivery of the pipe, quickly checked to make sure that the wastegate flanges were true, and properly packed the damn thing he would have had a happy customer instead of an enraged one. I have to say, he makes great products, but the service is yet to be desired. I know Keith is a one man show and working like hell to get his business off the ground, but just be honest about the turnaround times and we'll all wait patiently.
:)

:)
BTDT.... I got my ATR pipe and Racegate from Jack Cotton and he told me up-front that more than likely I would have a fit problem here. It has to do some with the Racegate maybe being a tad off and also ATR's jig when doing the welding. He gave me one solution to fix it but I just ended up using a jack handle in each port to position them perfect to mate the Racegate. Just part of fabbed and custom pieces IMO.

There is no room for bashing when it comes to Keith Mease. How about some understanding?!?! How do you guys feel when you have people riding your ass. Does that help you to work better or faster, of course not!!! It just makes you think why the hell he is doing this. He could just do only Impy sh!t and never touched GN's every again. You know what, after some of the things posted, thats for sure what I'd do if I was him. LOTS more money with less headaches, why the hell not?!?!

Keith does VERY good..........make that GREAT WORK!!!. He is like a one man army. I don't even know how he does what he does. The guy works seven days a week making parts for every one but him self. He has not even worked on his own car for one plus year. That car has $35K in it and he NEVER works on it. The guy puts in like 12-14 hour days every day. He took sunday close to off this pass Sunday for mom's day. And guess where he still ended up that night, you got it, the shop at 11:30 pm. Didn't even take a whole day off. I know this because he was working on my car.

I have been very happy with a lot of venders, just to name one Jack Cotton, but Keith Mease is hands down the greatest man that I’ve come across.

Not to tell you all my business, but I just got let go from my job. The company that I was working for put a freezes on hiring about six months ago and it took that long to roll down to me. When this happened I was scary and still am! I’m not even done with school yet. I just moved out from the folks, mom and dad are going through a VERY bad devoice. On one phone call I told Keith that I’m not sure how to pay him. He told me that he understands. Even took the time to make me feel a little better about all my life. Keith has a heart of gold and does very much care about ever one of his customer!!! He pays for having such a good heart. Every time things like this go up it really makes him feel bad. How can you have the passion to make this parts and have the love of these cars without really caring?!?! Bottom line, give Keith a break. I was down in the hole, still am, reaching my hand out for some help and Keith Mease was there to reach his hand out to grab mine. He made my life just a little better, and I own him for that. I will stay loyal to him as a very good friend of mine!!!

Ok Ok enough of bashing Keith.

Keith as I have said in the past MANY times , you need to communicate better. It appears to me you are both talented and actually put out a nice product. I know this first hand because I have installed one of your dp's on a customer car who brought it in to be installed. I had NO problem AT ALL with the install. It fit , it performed as advertised and the customer was very happy. My ONLY complaint is your lack of COMMUNICATION! That seems to be your only downfall at this point. I also am VERY aware of what it means to be a one man shop. Very much so. Most of the emails I receive are due to the fact that you are unavailable most of the time, again, which I fully understand. It is difficult to get work done ifyou are on the phone, Believe you me, I KNOW! There are going to be alot of changes around here at TB.com and this is one of them. I will, at all cost , protect the vendor or tech that contributes. I do feel that you NEED to at least get SOMEONE to shoot out emails or return calls for you. If nothing else , buy a damn phone answering maching and every morning put a message on it.
I am going to lock this down , but I do feel you need to communicate more with your people. Make that priority one.

Now to anybody else who wants to flame or denounce somebody on this board from now on I will INFORM you of this.
If you persist in using this board to "bash"people in an informal way, I will "retire" you from this board. Don't beleieve me? Try me.
I firmly believe Keith has a communication problem , but all in all , he is NOT out to defraud anybody. When the first "incident" took place , even I , had my doubts. However, he has proven that being understaffed and overloaded says two things about him. One , he builds a decent product or you guys would not be bitchin to get your stuff. Two, he "eventually" follows through on his commitment.

This does NOT in any way , relieve you of your obligations to communicate with your customers tho. Keep that in mind Keith. I am sticking up for you to A) take the heat off and B) to keep this from going any further.
I would like to see you shoot me an email which I can add to this post as a reference ( and nobody can reply to it) to what is going on and how you will be improving your communication skills. I think that is owed to not only the board , but your CUSTOMERS!.

I am covering your arse, as I will ALL other vendors/ people on this board who do people right.

Quality takes time. Rome wasn't built in a day, however, it wasn't burned down in one night either.

Good luck and I will be expecting either an email or a phone call in the next 48 hrs to announce your "new implemented" system of communication.

Please Keith, do not let me down. I am a one chance kind of guy.
