just wonddering if anyone else here has installed this kit.
Im wondering if the larger gears would would create too much oil pressure pushing too much oil up top,and starving the mains,if the blocks main oil feed holes were not enlarged??
would this be o.k on a stock block?

:) I have read that larger gears cost HP. If your bearing clearance is within factory specs. than the stock set-up will supply all the pressure/volume your engine will ever need. I use the stock pump in my fairly fast daily driven ho-hum buick. The gauge pegges @80 psi by 2000 rpm's.

I use the HV pump and have had it on my car for 155,000 miles. Works great! As far as taking power away as mentioned, my car went .00000006 slower since I installed it. :p

With the HV pump installed, at any time down the road if you have an oil pressure loss/problem, you'll know it's not the pump and it's time to pull the pan for a look.

You can regulate the oil pressure you want by using the weight oil that works best, depending on which relief spring you use that is supplied with the kit. Also, perhaps, heavier weight oil in the summer and going to something lighter in the winter.
