Mercedes guys step in - 1981 300SD Turbo Diesel

There is an elder lady who is selling a 81 Mercedes 300SD Turbo diesel.
It has about 76K miles on it, has been meticulously maintained by the dealer and is in pristine condition.
She is picking up an AMG.

I know NOTHING about Mercedes, let alone this thing.
Will this make a good DD that won't nickel and dime you to death?
What do you think it is worth in today’s market?

Probably not worth much but should a very reliable and good car. Price wise, I have no idea. Would guess under $2k though.

Mercedes diesels TD 300 will run many miles with proper care. 76k for that year is nothing. Keep fuel filters and tank cleaned. $2,000 max

Most German cars have a high maintence requirement according to the manuals Jerryl. They run for a long time but the maintainence is really a lot of it.
