I had my mechanic bend me one for no charge after mine blew out at the track, passenger side. :frown:

When the second one blew out at 114mph at the track, drivers side, I bent it myself.

Good for another 18 years.

Got rid of the darn spring that only served to hold water, salt, and dirt on the metal line.

I forget the exact lengths used of standard line but the search feature might be able to dig it up.

you can buy bulk line and bend it yourself. I've done it many times on many customers' cars. Never had a problem.

what size line and fitting please becuase i just snapped my front driver side line and i'm stuck.

Should be 3/16" line, I think. I just did my rear brakes today, and luckily they came apart nicely. I soaked them overnight with PB Blaster. Ive handbent rear brake lines on many of my vehicles, including 3 of my Buicks and my K1500 daily drivers. No problems at all.

AutoZone carries the nice line with the anti-corrosion coating on it. Just be gradual and take you time. I think I used a 41" piece for the rear line to the cylinder and didnt have to reflare it. Cant be sure I remember correctly though.

I bought mine from Right Stuff, from master back, I was told that I need to lift the body off of the frame to do the length of the chassis ones, so I haven't installed them yet, that mechanic also told me mine were not bad enough to replace (wanted to do it before I rearend someone!)but yeah right stuff, under 200 for master to rear wheels in stainless.

Thanks ScoJac 2001 it is a 3/16 I bought a straight line and hand bent it my self.

I was told by Reckless Rob there is a new brake line material out now that is non-ferrous. It's supposed to be easy to bend/flair and good for 3000psi. He was impressed with it. That might worth looking into.

Now days they have brake lines at Napa and I believe Autozones, where you can bend them by hand. What I was told was; these new generation brake lines are coated in Teflon. You can actually bend it by hand and it will not kink. I did the whole brake line from the master cylinder to the rear tires for about $18 on a 65 Mustang. I did bend all the bends by hand just like the factory without any issues. I did even straighten them back out to re-bend again without any issues. To me this was the best thing next to sliced bread. got mine from Napa.
