Probably because it ruins your teeth and makes you tweek all the time :D. No seriously, I didn't know they were so adverse to it. It seems to be one of the best upgrades to do for turbo cars.

Most of the "off-Shore" peeps that I read about run meth & water or alcohol & water. Enough of them do it, there must be a reason for it.

What makes u think they hate it? I see quite a few with the "Snow kit".

Local forum. Someone was talking about an E85 Tune so I told him to look into Meth. It was like farted in church. Then again the self appointed supra guru there is a bit of a dick.

Maybe it's because they can make absurd unusable power on the street on pump gas and don't all feel the need to use it. Those 3.4 Titan strokers are nasty!

Then again, anyone being able to afford a seriously built Supra probably just runs race gas cause money is probably not a concern.

I figured as much.

I suppose I should throw out the what do a 1000 HP Supra and a 500HP buick have in common :D

I've always heard "What's the difference between a 600HP supra, an 800HP supra, and a 1,000HP Supra? About a tenth in the quarter mile."

I like your version too; hahaha.

I remember a 1000+hp Supra running on nothing but meth back in the late 90's early 00's. They are as ahead of the curve as anyone else in the need for more power category. They usually knock off 500+whp without meth on pump gas. More than enough to knock out 99.99% of what they will ever come across on the street.

The Buick crown had SMC in the late 90's for alcohol injection. And for the time it was a decent system. The Supra crowd followed Dereks devices. The problem was Dereks inexpensive kit instead of using a controller, used an electronic relay tied into the fuel injectors. Bunch of these inexpensive kits where sold.. next thing those relays start failing left and right.. and the bad taste is left.

I find the same issue locally with Mustang shops that used the original Snow kits.. those things failed left and right.. left a bad taste on them. And they are reluctant to try anything else. You can show all the results you want.. but once a tuner/shop has their mind set.. its hard to change.

Its like one person goes gets a .39 cent burger and develops diareah... all of a sudden.. all burgers are bad.. and the anti-burger drama from anywhere pops up. You cant convince the crowd that getting a 10.00 Kobe burger wont have the stomach issues.

Import crowds are in their own zone..

Around here all I ever hear constantly from the Poopra owners concerning alky kit's is "Yeah well What if the pump fails?" I get SO sick of hearing that question I now just look at them and say "Well what if your mechanical fuel pump fails?"....

The last guy just replied "Well I guess I would run out of gas then" Around here 98.99 % of them are pompus stuck up arse holes or Cocky little rich kids without a damn clue! And the exhausts sound like a damn deer call....

As a car detailer I can tell you first hand that it is very difficult to get the cat p!ss like smell of methamphetamine out of a vehicles interior.....

o wait you were talking about methanol. nevermind.

not kidding on the cat p!ss smell though. About as difficult as cigarette smoke.
