Finally went ahead and got ahold of some Methanol today. Was $3 a gallon, from a local speed shop. Also bought some Power Plus top lube. Same stuff WFO was talking about a few days back in another thread.
Since one bottle (16oz) of the lube treats 55gallons of alky, after doing the math, less than a 1/3 of an ounce will treat one gallon alky (WOW!). I think I remember someone saying use 1 cap full for a gallon of Methanol. Well, I wound up putting a couple cap fulls in. Is there any problem with this??
