I'm thinking about a meth injection setup on my Evo. I'm concerned about the corrosiveness of methanol though on parts other than the alky system itself. For example, will the methanol vapor corrode the aluminum throttle body and intake manifold or attack the valves or other parts of the head over time?

How long can methanol sit in the resevoir before it starts to go bad?

Do you have to worry about combustible vapors under the hood (or in the trunk) from a vented resevoir?

Thanks,
Rich

No corrossion to any parts. Once its sprayed the motor consumes it 100%. Burns clean.

How long... never found out. I would say months? That would be a shame and waste :D

If your placing a tank in the trunk, I would vent it outside the vehicle. Like the fuel door for example. Under the hood.. zero issues.
