The rear end issue has been resolved thanks to a piece from a GN

They are still running AWD and that was not enough to keep that beast planted out at Lapeer Dragway on thier last outing.

Some details on the truck from when Dave posted about it on t6p.com...

"The motor is a Dan Strezo built 297 botie block with 23 degree raised runner heads, th 400 trans, Neal Chance converter, Precision 76 gts turbo, Precision intercooler, FAST SEFI with ICC, Weldon 2035, Race Pack Data Logger, electric water pumps, radiator relocated to bed of truck to make room for the fmic."

The 9.79 pass was the first pass with the new rear end, we were kicked off the track after that pass due to no cage in the truck.

The boost is still very loooow once turned up we are looking for 9.3 to 9.4 at 150+mph.

If you guys want a good laugh, check out this thread where some dumb a$$ said the truck sounds like it is on NOS. What does NOS sound like???

Ummm that would be Ed and it might be prudent to check that "dumb a$$es" time in his sig. BTW, there are a hand full of ppl who are spraying for spool up but since they usually get pounced on for spraying a turbo motor they keep quiet.

My point is that calling someone a "dumb a$$" without knowing if they actually are a dumb a$$ is not only being a dumb a$$ yourself but shows everyone youre nothing but a punk with a smart mouth. So Ed is a couple tenths slower running high nines and that makes him a "dumb a$$"? LOL....

I sure did... Took me ~$3 worth of quarters at the car wash spray the road funk off it before I pulled into the track. Whats your point?

What difference would it make if they were spraying for spoolup? IF they even were? This guy accused them of running 2 power adders, that means they sprayed the whole run.

Maybe that's where they are getting the 10 MPH on Ed. I would think the dumb a$$ comment would be a little more directed because he should know at the his power level what is really going on here.

Better SAFE than sorry.

The truck is a daily driver and driven 300 miles each way to the track. I don't think it will ever have a cage since most of it's duty is on the street.

Rolling up to a street race in a stock appearing truck interior, wheels and tires is priceless!
