I can't imagine how hard it must be for military personnel to leave their families behind while serving and how difficult it must be for the family. Take a look at this video.

I really want to give thanks to all our military people and their families. The level of sacrifice that you all endure to help protect our country, is unimaginable to most of us. My brother in law and few friends are Marines, and my nephew leaves for the Navy end of this month.

Thank you all for serving.

Peter

You''re welcome, but I think I can say on behalf of all the other veterans on this board, it is our pleasure and honor to do so.

Great vid, love that one! What's your nephew going in as? Shoot me a PM if you want.

Thanks Peter... my wife just got back from Korea about a month ago....she is my best friend... i did miss her a lot, but used the time to stay in the garage and work on stuff... whenever she leaves i pick a project to stay busy with.

i am sure she appreciates the kind words and gestures.

Great Aaron, enjoy the time together!

James, he's kicking around a few different options. If you have suggestions I'd love to pass them along. We are having his going away party on the 20th and he leaves the 24th.

Let me know what rates he is thinking about and I can give you/ him some ideas on quality of life, what he can expect, etc. Although, regardless of rate, it is a damn good gig. I just hit 16 years this month, been overseas, did a recruiting tour, been on ships, been enlisted and now commissioned, etc. Feel free to give him my number if you want, I'd be happy to talk to him and let him know all that I can.

That's great. I will pass your number along. He's leaving for Chicago this month and then he'll be in San Diego.
