Well, I've put a spare block and heads in the car; getting ready to do intercooler piping, etc. I picked up a tunnel ram lower intake and it's shown on the motor; I will be making a box top for it and converting it to EFI shortly (at least I hope it's shortly!) :)

Pics are here:

Looks good and it should sound very nice with the twins!

BTW, I heard through the grape vine that Ricardo LaCosta of south Florida just built a Stage II On-Center twin turbo motor for his TR....

Kendall you should look at Don Wangs website.

He is doing a plenum similar to yours by hand.

Yours is shaping up to be a killer car.

Reggie,

No Buick at home??? Is she at Duttweiler's??? =)

Steve,

Tell me more about Ricardo!!!

John, from what I've been told it sounds like his motor will be a lot like Kendall's.... twin 60-1 turbos, ported Stage II heads, custom solid roller cam, Sequential FAST system, but I'm not sure about the intercooler, intake, tranny, and the suspension (think the car is tubbed with a ladder bar setup but I can't say for sure).... Also, from what I heard the car used to weigh 3400lbs, but now Ricardo has taken a good amount of weight out of the car so it should weigh around 3000lbs or maybe less.... Sounds like it should be making around 1000-1200hp and with the car being lighter I'm guessing 8 second passes won't be a problem! I'll try to get more info from Alex (blackshoebox) cause he spoke to Ricardo at one of the Buick meetings they have down there:)

Thanks Steve.
Try and find out if he will be racing in any series for me.
Thanks in advance!!!

Got crack?

Hey Kendall,

Where did ya get that spare block? ;) Looks like one I used to have. I figure it's only good for mock up purposes these days. You'll have to post pics of the cracks in that thing as a follow up to my post about 3.8 liter Stage blocks since I never got 'round to it. That set up looks pretty cool. I'll be interested to see how it all comes together. BTW, is that the modified 4BBL that you and I talked about?

Yessir, that's Neal "I run 10.20s with two cracked cylinders and one arm tied behind my back" Steward's old block. :) I will take some pictures of the cracks in it the next time I pull it out of the car. Jim and I put the block and trans in yesterday without a lift..caveman style.

The intake sitting on the block in the background is the 4 BBL I did earlier that we talked about.

While you're posting, did you get to the track last weekend? Or did the rain continue?

Motivation problems

Kendall,

Originally I was planning on going to the track on Saturday but several guys wanted to go on Sunday instead. By the time Sunday came around my motivation was lacking (I think I need some Viagra) ;) so I didn't make it. Looking to get out there on March 8th. I'll keep you posted on the results.
