Modded ECM ?

After an ECM has been modded to run bigger injectors, can you also go back and run smaller inj's with it ?

I'm fairly confident that once a computer has been upgraded it will run any injectors...High or Low Impedance.

Going off of memory, haven't tried it myself.

It won't harm anything, but it may not run right. The peak/hold injector drivers will operate the injectors differently, which has the biggest effect at low pulsewidths, like idle and tip in. So you might have things like a tip-in stumble, or idle might be too rich/lean, BLM's will not be right. If you have the ability to change the chip program, then you can tune it out.

I've got a friend who is dropping his car off to me this afternoon that has a few problems. I was going to hook up my DirecrScan to it but just use my ecm since the case was already cut to accept the cable......
