Ok I have been a longtime seller on here... cars, transmissions, every part concievable. Im an old hat on internet sales :p But this latest one has thrown me for a loop.

I have excellent feedback and even on here when I had a problem I gave the guys money back and he kept my part for the trouble... now hows that for a deal?

Anyways... I have a set of brand new HRpartsnstuff Poly mounts for sale and sold them to user (Marvin's GN) here is the thread

http://www.turbobuick.com/forums/parts-sale/215472-hrpartsnstuff-poly-mounts-new-box.html

He payed by USPS money order made out to me and shipped it to P.O. Box 112... I PMed my address of P.O. Box 172 and he admitted he accidentally wrote down the wrong Box number. The Fiasco commenced... I never did recieve the Money Order and my post master general luckly said that BOX 112 is empty. And if they recived it it would have been returned to sender. This has been two weeks ago that my postmaster informed me of this. I have been PMing Marvin's GN to keep him up to date and finally recieved a message that it has not shown up yet... two weeks ago he tracked it and it had not been cashed. As of yesterday he had been out of town and will check with the postoffice and run a track again.

This is the message I recieved today from marvins GN... along with my quoted original :

I need these things out of my shop and if you have found your MO is it on its way here... or what should I do... should they go back up for sale?

Thanks again, Sam

reply to my for sale thread if you could thanks.

(marvin's GN)
I'm sorry I have been out of town for work just got back. I looked in the mailbox nothing in there. I will go to post office and get my mail ( they take it there if it is in the box to long ). If it is not there I will have to run a track on the money order. I don't want to make you wait on it again. I will send it again if you can sale the mounts just do so and send the MO back to me. I'm going back out of town Thursday. Just let me know something

I just do not feel confortable selling these Mounts with an impending suprise MO that "might" show up at any date for me to send back to him. I did send him a repley to the effect of (I will not ship them unless I hear from you and if the MO's been cashed then my lawyers and the local PD will be notified in the location of where it has been cashed... due to forgery of my name)

any advice? He has been a great guy to deal with so far and this is advice for the both of us I suppose.

MONEY ORDER HAS BEEN SWALLOWED BY THE BERMUDA TRIANGLE!!! :(

ask him for the "serial number" of the MO (should be on his receipt) and your post office can run a search to see if it was every cashed... or purchased for that matter.

Intuition and experience - says- either he sent it and doesn't care if he gets the part, or more likely,he has changed his mind and never sent to begin with. Sell your parts- you have been sufficiently patient and understanding !

Best of luck with this situation in what ever you do.

if you sell the parts and the MO shows up just send it back.

if the guys seems straight up maybe wait it out and let him sort it out or send another MO...

all depends on the feeling you get.

Your a great seller, actions speak louder than words, and the way you handled that problem you mentioned above was pretty classy, I'd like to think I'd do the same.

Looks to me like a stalling tactic. Happens to me sometimes.

Snail mail is a pain in the a$$. I only take Paypal anymore, and only give a guy 24hrs to lock-in the deal. If someone has time to contact me, agree on a deal, provide shipping info, etc... then they have 2 minutes to pay me via paypal.
I got sick and tired of the bull$hit stalling tactics from people who have no money... therefore, no more snail mail deals for me.

I'd sell to the next guy in line if I were you, and only take paypal for instant, excuse-free payment.
