Montana, Idaho, North West train trip.

My wife and I are thinking about taking a train trip this summer through some of those states. It makes stops at Glacier NP and many towns along the way. We'll end up in Portland or Seattle. This will be my first time ever to this area, and my wife's 2nd time to Seattle. Has anyone taken this trip or have any suggestions they would like to offer? If I could afford it I'd be traveling the American Orient Express at www.americanorientexpress.com but that will have to be later...

I don't think you'll be disappointed....that's a beautiful area and I have enjoyed it eveytime I've driven it. (I always recommend the Southwest over everything else, though. ) Friends of mine took a train trip from Boston to Albuquerque to visit us last year and they really liked it.

Spend as much time in Glacier as you can.
