But officer, The speedo only goes to 85, how was I supposed to know how fast I was going! #notmyfault

Wow. I hope you have enough to the next gas station....so now you know.....at 1/2 tank start looking for gas.....at 1/4 tank start to panic.

I see that 1/4 tank of gas disappeared like a fart in the wind. Remember in a GN 1/4 is empty.

but, but.............. IT HAD AIR CONDITIONING! LOL
when ever we travel, no matter what car, I include a can can, truck get 5 gal can, buick gets 2.5 gal.
coconino county means you were near Flagstaff. making time!
should be to Kingman, in under 3 hrs,
then 30-45 min to Bullhead

flagstaff is 7000 ft ele, Kingman, is 3300, so you can coast all the way here! (cept a few hills)
watch for deer! they run across the road!
and ele in bullhead is 554 ft ele

when come into Bullhead, after rounding the curve, and you see the casinos.
trun right at the bridge, (cross the river) then 1st left, and if staying at the Ramada, go past all the casinos.
up the hill to signal in front of Ramada.
they have secured parking. tip the attendant, and you shoud be ok,

Tori,
How many miles are on that car? I think I asked that before but didn't get an answer.

Car has 126k

Squid, I blame you for jinxing us about running out of fuel. :p

Funny thing about running out of fuel today, we went further yesterday on a tank ( not in miles- but the needle was dead nuts on the E line, and when I filled up, there was still 3 gallons left.) Today, we were slightly above that line and it started crapping out.
We were 1.25 miles away from a station, we should have made it, but there was a hill and that's what did it. I was able to back up the hwy. and turn onto an off ramp. Car died again right there, but I was able to cycle the key a dozen times to get fuel pressure built up, re fire the engine and weave back and forth for about half a mile to where we found that Sherriff sitting doing paperwork. He was super cool. He called one of his deputies to pick us up and take us into town where he stopped at O'Reillys so I could buy a gas can, then to a gas station, and back to the Buick where the first guy was keeping an eye on the car. I got about 4 gallons in it from that shitty new style spout/can. Then gave the can to the Sherriff as a thank you and we made tracks.
On into Laughlin with no troubles, got a nice room for $43 and then hit the Casino. We played card games at the bar and drank for free. Well, as free as drinking in a casino gets. I lost $10, Suzy lost $4. But we played that $ for at least an hour and 5 drinks between the two of us. Can't complain. It was fun. :ROFLMAO:

14 hours drive time, 800 miles today. I'm ready to sleep.

Shenanigans continue tomorrow

"Tori's excellent adventure"
keep us posted, as you have a long desert ahead of you.
gas up before you leave, as gas in needles will be $5+ and gas farther down the road will be more yet!
Essex , is known for $6+ gas.
Ludlow will be high but more affordable than essex or needles.
good luck
