The other day I pull up to the 7-11, I open my door and look down and there's a $100 bill just laying on the ground! There were no other cars around me so I picked it up and put it in my pocket

That's the most cash I've ever found! :D

GIMME MY MONEY BACK!!!!

I'll give you an address where to send it back to. :)

Back in 1989 I found an $800 check in our mailbox from GM. I guess they felt bad about the brakes going out in the GN while I was coming home from school one day!

A Crunched up ball made of a $50 dollar bill at a moto cross event.

You would think I won the friggin lotto. I couldn't stop talking about it.. Never told the wife or she would want a cut..

Image if I found $500 I would have a heart attack & croak.

I use to work in a night club, and let me tell you...drunk people drop all kinds of crap. I would find money, cell phones, purses, wallets, you name it.

I always tried to find the owners of missing purses, wallets, and cellphones...if I couldn't, then I'd let my manager take care of it. However, whenever I found cash on the floor by itself, I would keep it if no one came back to claim it.

I was pretty good at finding money on the floor. I sorta had the intuition for it. Some nights I would find around $45 total...which was about 3/4ths of my paycheck at the time.

While skiing at Jackson Hole with some buddies one Spring, I found a wallet. Being a nice guy, I picked it up, put it in my coat pocket and continued skiing the bump run. After 3 or 4 turns, the wallet flies out of my pocket, opens and money scatters all over the ski run. My friends helped me collect what we could but some blew into the trees never to be seen again. We did find about $400 in US and $300 in Canadian. It was tempting since I was in collage at the time, but I turned it in to the lost and found. The owner found me and gave me a case of beer. I still feel bad that some of the money was lost when the wallet fell out of my pocket.

Me and the wife went to a casino one night and she hit 500 on video poker within 10 min. of arrival. We were drinking a lot and had the idea of putting it into a box under the bed so we wouldn't spend it right away.

6 months later.......

HONEY??? WHERE IN THE HECK DID WE GET THIS MONEY????

It was like winning it all over again!:D And we needed it bad.

I drove up to an ATM machine one time at like 3am to find someone had left $100 bucks in 20 dollar bills sitting in the machine.. Nobody was around, receipt was gone, left the cash.. Person was probably in a hurry to get somewhere.... ooops.

Ya, I took the cash, and didn't see my name and photo at the post office so I guess I got away with it.. :)

In the late 90's I was working at a Chevrolet dealer selling trucks and found wallet in a new pickup. I looked inside and there was 12 $100 bills and some 20's and smaller bills, being the honest guy I am, I found the guys number in the phone book and gave him a call. Well, about an hour later the guy walks into my office and thanked me for my honesty, he then proceeded to open the wallet and hand me a few bills and thanked me for returning his wallet. I took a quick look at the money he had given me and realized he had handed me $500. I refused to take it, but he insisted so I thanked him and off he went. Here's the cool part, a week later he returned and bought a new Z-71 from me. Honesty does pay off.

Well, it doesn't exactly constitute "finding" money, more like losing, really, but since the whole gambling thing was mentioned..

The first time I went to a casino I went with a few buddies who had been before. I watched one buddy play the slots for a minute, and he was playing a 50 cent machine. He won 20 "credits", and I asked him how much a credit was. He said 50 cents. Being the total dolt that I am, I didn't put together the fact that a "credit" was worth 50 cents on this machine because that's how much a pull on this machine was... (see where I'm heading...?)

So I start playing on my own, just randomly playing different machines, when I played a few pulls on a 5 dollar machine. I won 65 "credits." Gee, I thought, 65 credits...that's like $32.50, right? Not a big score, so I may as well just keep playing...! Sure as heck, I was down to 2 credits left when it hit me..duuuuuhhh..I had just played $325 back into the machine.

Oh well, easy come..easy go...right?!:D

When i was a kid, my dad always told me , " Look at the ground where you walk", that nite we went to the movies and low and behold, I found $20. For a 8 year old, that was sweet.
Its not the most I've found, but the most memorial.
