motor knock

I just got back from the track after pushing it hard all weekend and now when i start the car there is a knock that lasts a few seconds on startup and goes away oil pressure is fine and also when i shut the car off the noise comes back any suggestions so maybe i can sleep tonight thanks John

Probably wore something out after "pushing it hard all weekend". Why worry? Probably tooks a half thou off the bearings from pounding on it. Try some heavier oil.

Maybe, cut the oil filter open, and see what's there??
