I was talking to John of John's Mustang and Classics in San Diego. They just moved into a new building in Kearny Mesa. Real nice. They're going to have a 2,400 HP eddy current dyno installed soon and threw out the gauntlet for a dyno competition between Buicks and Mustangs. Total Performance in Santee is finishing up a tube chassis Mustang and another shop, Advantage Auto Repair has been running a tube chassis Mustang. I'm sure they'll be coming. John, himself is putting together a twin turbo BB Ford, tube chassis car, early Mustang body, but I don't think he'll have it ready. A date hasn't been set. It depends on the response I get from the Buick camp. Most likely it would have to be late October or later. I will make sure it won't clash with the WCN in Pheonix. I was thinking we could set up different classes like stock, street legal modified, questionable street legal, stock chassis, 10 inch tire, pro street, full race, etc. Just some ideas. Nothing is set in concrete. If it's done on a Sunday we can have a large parking lot next door for parking. A picnic atmosphere was agreed upon. No pressure to hurry, just have fun. What do you think? Are you guys up to the challenge?
