Hey, as usual, I've got my flame suit on for posting about a Monte SS, but I asked a few questions from others on here about several issue while I worked on this car.

It's an 84 MCSS with a small block and T-56 Swapped into it. The video is from a while back when I first started it and backed it out of the garage. This car hadn't been on the road in 8 years. It was a really rough car. I didn't have the exhaust on yet, and I hadn't adjusted the idle speed and mixture yet etc...

hey! nothing wrong with Monte's! 6 spd stick is something i would love to do in the future! Love the sound of open headers! makes me want to uncork mine :)

No flame
It looks great!
I have always loved the SS's body style & the mid to late 70's Colonnade M/Cs are some of my favorites
my buddy had a '77 w/ the stacked headlights & I see one in the neighborhood occasionally
BEAUTIFUL!

I have a Monte too. After it gets back from paint LS conversion!

I like the look of the monte carlo ss. I wish they put turbo motors in them:D

I agree. They’d be looked upon in a whole new way all these years.

It’s amazing how a car looks better when it goes better.

When I get asked if I like sports, my answer is YES. Motorsports!

The MCSS is my favorite G-body body style
The 87 monte LS is second.

If I had the time and money I'd love to get a mcss and drop a 454 in it with an outrageous suspension and autocross it. I've always thought they looked great just need more get up and go.

I really appreciate the help advice I received here. I've got a TTA, so I wasn't super familiar with the g-body when I started on this car. This Monte drives a lot like an 80's Cadillac. Classy and Smooth.

I like Monte Carlo SS, but it was a turd and the 305, well... you all know.
I would put a TR motor in one for SnGs since I get a lot of "Nice Monte Carlo" anyways o_O
