Friday night my dog (which I inherited whan my mother passed away) wanted to go outside, at 4:00 am. I let him out. After 15 minutes I am wondering what he is doing. Then I hear him barking like he is really pissed. (he never barks) I check the back door, he is not there. Then I hear a diesel truck running. It all comes together in my 4 am cloudy mind. I run to the front door to see the motion light on and my dog by the fence having a fit! All this time my 49,000 mile GN is sitting under the carport not blocked in as usual. As I come out I hear the Diesel hoofin it up the street. It was a plain clothesed tow truck trying to grab my TR. Thank god for Caesar the wonder chihuahua. He got extra treats today. Maybe I'll even give him a ride in the GN if I can get him to stop shedding. Needless to say the GN is not at my house for a repeat of the other night. It is safe and sound with the theft deterrants active and cars in front of it.
All TR owners should have a chihuahua.

Did you get the plate on the tow truck or a description of the truck? Might be worth notifying the police so they could be made aware if they stumble upon any trucks doing some late night towing without lettering on the truck or flashing lights or proper paperwork. I have a friend that used to do repo work and he had to sneak onto people's property to reposess cars from borrowers who had defaulted. He was stopped quite often by the police and he had to show the appropriate paperwork when requested to prove he was legally entitled to reposess the vehicle.

Way to go Caesar!I love those hyper little dogs.
They don't miss a trick.Take him out for a ride anyway.
Let him put his little head out the passenger window.
He's more than earned it and he'll love you for it.
Vacuum the car later.:)

YO QUIERO TACO Ceasar!

Wish my poodle alerted me when my newley planted
aborvite bushes got stolen.

But the guy came back for more & I caught him.
I caught the bastard red handed & followed him in car with my pjamas on LOL!.
I must of looked funny at the police station..

Got his plate & PD said nothing they could do about it.
I did hear the address when they ran the plate. Found out
he was a landscaper.
AH Billerica mass a wonderfull place to live NOT!

Moral is Getting plate will do SHIZT.. Get they old camera out & record.

And here I thought I was the only one to have plants stole from in front of my house. They took some of my wife's potted plants, the pots had to be at least 150lbs each, and they made it off with a half dozen in broad day light....

Some people have balls of steel...

Glad they didn't get your car...

what kind of plants are they?? illegal substance kind??:D :D :D j/k
but who would want to steal plants??? what a crazy world we live in! oh and by the way, the bright side (for me anyways) is that i wouldnt have my car if it werent for a theft. i dont think i ever posted my story on here but i think i will sometime when i actually get enough time.

Who would want to steal plants?

Shady landscapers who can then charge customers full price.

Oh Yeah that guy who stole my plantings. Finally he got caught taking plants out of a Graveyard :)
Imagine stealing from the dead.

this all happened in Omaha Nebraska. I have a buddy that is a repo man, this all seems alot like a repo job, but I paid cash for the car. We think it may be a moonlighting repo man/car thief. Unfortunately it was dark in the street and I didn't have my glasses on (plus it was 4am and I had been on the boat all day) so I didn't get the plate and I just saw the rear of the truck, but I am pretty sure it was a Dodge, that cummins sounds pretty distinctive. I am alarm shopping thisweekend to include the tilt sensor. Thanks for all your wishes, My dog is the best!

Look in the turbo lounge for the story. I don't want to post it here, 'cause it's not my thread. Oh well, enjoy!!!

Awesome job by the dog! They're definitely man's best friend, especially if you own a car that's so highly desired by others. I live on a small plot of land in a small town, and my dogs make sure that NOBODY sets foot without my (or should I say THEIR) permission. If the garage door moved at any point in the night, there'd be a LOT of barking going on. Dogs are definitely good like that.

Take the little pooch for a spin, it's DEFINITELY earned. Just put a towel on the seat and take a swing by McD's so the little beast can have a cheeseburger. Even if the "tow truck" broke down a foot from your house, and you got the car back, it'd still be a hassle and potential damage to your rig from a hack towing job. Glad to hear the dog saved the day!
