my garands

oh man! the smith 52 is my faaavorite pistol of all time for target. My father had one that had been gone through by a military pistolsmith who had done a trigger job, etc. and it was smooth as silk! beautiful gun!

that 52s only been fired 15 times, it took my dad 2 years to find it in the 60s. he carried it for a while while working security but switched to a colt trooper 357 later for better penetration. its been hidden away ever sence.

Am I the only one to see a connection between an recent ex girl friend and a new gun collections? lol. Nice collection of guns. I love shooting the M-1. What a powerful rifle.

i dont usually, although, i do keep a rifle in the car at all times. i used to keep my bulgarian ak47 or one of my sks's but ive got the 43 garand in there now. i cant tell you how many times ive went shooting "for the hell of it" before i go to work or go home.

now that im not tied down and dont have to worrie about paying off the house or the cars i aint got to much to worrie about, infact, im looking at another 1500 nm garand that i might get in the morning if i dont change my mind and buy somethen like a ar15.

While .30-06 Frangible rounds are common, the story of their development is not well known. They were actually developed during WWII by Duke and Princeton Universities as part of a government contract. The intent was to develop a bullet that could be used to train bomber gun crews by allowing them to fire at a real aircraft. It took several years to arrive at a suitable bullet (and an armored aircraft for that matter). The common mottled grey-green bullet is actually a mixture of powdered lead and Bakelite, officially referred to as RD-42-93. Usually found with green and white bullet tips,

yeah, no I have never seen a "winter safety" but it makes sense, if they made a winter trigger because it was difficult to get a gloved hand to pull the trigger the safety would be just as difficult to operate.
