I was just taking off my drivers side header & I found a nice size crack! I guess I'll have to get them welded up! Anybody know of any hot air aftermarket headers? I wondered why I couldn't get rid of my exhaust leak!

No one is making after market replacements that I know of right now. What you could do is get some tubing and make a new log for it but it won't be cheap.

What do you consider "a nice size"? It may be repairable. I have fixed a handful and they are still holding up fine. Post up a pic.

It's over an inch. Almost half of the tube. I'm having someone weld it. Looks like its repairable!

Did anyone make them at any point?

Postons and KB did at one time but good luck finding a set. I've been trying to find a set of either now for 4 years.o_O I am making my now now but still need to buy a few tubes to finish them up.:(

I guess there's not a high demand in them either:-(

Basic rule in economics;
High demand = lower price
Low demand – higher price
Low demand “CAN” equal lowered price, “IF” . . . . . . well, I am not getting into a manufacturing operations philosophy debate here. o_O

GBODY parts tried to make some headers for our cars but there were a lot of questions from the community about price.
In the end, Brian dropped the project and is more than likely done making any parts for HA cars.
This scenario is just one example of what has been going on in the HA community . . . .WAAAAY before my time with these cars.

Charlie,
I am going to make some billet headers someday. o_O

This may be too late . . . but remember this for next time. ;)
When you weld them, make sure you bolt them to a set of heads, AND use SS rod with a TIG!
They will look like "doo-doo" with a MIG.

Stainless will work but if you use iconel (sp) the welds will hold up better. Got that tidbit from bison.:D

Maybe you need to make a set like this Jerryl.
