Conrad, I'll have to weigh both of them and compare. They are lighter than stock, but heavier than the cheap $99 mini-starters some use. These are alot heavier duty though as well... I'm headed to the beach tomorrow, but will try to get you some weight info.

On my digital scale... The oem starter weighed in @ 19.2 lbs. & my mini's weighed in @ 8.8 lbs.

I picked up my new mini starter from Keith last night. It appears to be a super nice unit and is a reman unit. It is a great price and does NOT require a core and comes with a 1 year warranty. Keith has put it on some high compression stroker motors and it performed GREAT! I know that he still has several for sale so jump in!
