I'm sorry, but after hearing they want to sing OUR National Anthem in Spanish ... enough is Too much!
NEVER did they sing it in Italian, Japanese, Polish, Irish-Celtic, German, Portuguese, Greek, French, or any other language because of immigration. It was written by Francis Scott Key and should be sung word for word the way it was written.

The news broadcasts gave a translation that's NOT even close. Sorry if this offends anyone ... but this is my country.
Let me make this perfectly clear!

Yeah I believe the National Anthem should be in English and stay in English. And if you immigrate to the USA you should LEARN English. We shouldn't have to print everything in all the different languages it costs us taxpayers boo coo money. The United States is the land of the FREE not the Land of the Free Ride.This is coming from a person whose ancestors were here before the white folk stepped on Pilgrim's rock , some of them had crossed the Rio Grande on their burros long before the 1st Thanksgiving and the others already lived in the desert southwest.

Back to NASCAR hispanics are the largest growing population group they need to get excited about racing it's a numbers game(politicians are doing the same to get the Hispanic vote) it's all about money, Are you too white to sit next to me at a NASCAR race??,your doomed give me a break. Who turned it into a race thing above your post? Spanish is the native tongue of people many races. Spanish itself is a white mans language brought to the new world and taught to the indians that were here (the ancestors of most Mexican immigrants) and the slaves that the Spaniards brought with them.

If you want to equate linguistic bias against Spanish with racism against Indian and Mestizo people then you oughta rethink whether or not Spanish (or rather the dialect that evolved from Spanish spoken by the average Mexican immigrant) is the language these people should be claiming as theirs.

as far as someone coming to america, they could learn the language if they want to or not, of course learning the language could only benefit them and make life easier, but what if they are to old or have a real hard time grasping the language? if they can get by without it, so be it. as far as spending money to advertise or have signs in different languages goes, when you go to spain, mexico and other spanish countries they have signs in english as does germany and france, to a person running a business they could'nt care less what language you spoke or read as long as your cash is green .

My 2 cents is everyone has aright to their own opinon and i respect that person's opinion no matter how much i disagree, it's just amazing how some small issues set people off, i served 4 years as an army cavalry scout and not once did i hear anyone make a remark about anyones ethnic background.
It's ashame that a person is still judge by apperances, even the bible makes refrence to judging others ( john: 7:24)

My parents came to this country as immigrants(Legally). My mother has a 5th grade education and yet speaks pretty good English. It's because she had to learn it to prosper in this country. Nowadays, Spanish is being pushed on us everywhere. Why do schools have forms in Spanish? Why are my tax dollars being wasted? Why do I have to select English or Spanish everywhere I go? Where's my native language? Why can't the Mexicans here just learn English like all other immigrants? Does everyone know why South Asian immigrants are so prosperous in this country?...Because their English skills are strong.

I travel to Canada quite a lot...you will have to deal with French there. I already know most of the signs of the road in French, est(east), oest(west), sud(south), nord(north), sortie(exit).
